Following the recent intervention and closure of Stevens Solicitors in Haverhill, Burnett Barker Solicitors are offering their services to any clients affected.
Commenting on the news, Robin Burnett, Senior Partner at Burnett Barker Solicitors said “Given our role in establishing the firm in 1982, we were naturally very sad when we heard that Stevens Solicitors in Haverhill were another victim of the current financial crisis. However, our thoughts very quickly turned to the firm’s clients, for some of whom this will be a disaster.”
Jeff Stevens joined Burnett Barker in 1982 to open and run the firm’s Haverhill office. The successful venture continued into the mid eighties when Jeff Stevens purchased the Haverhill office from Burnett Barker and renamed it Stevens.
Offering a full range of legal services, Burnett Barker Solicitors are well placed to help Stevens’ clients with:
- Residential Property
- Commercial Property
- Wills and Probate
- Litigation and Disputes
- Family Law
- Crime and Motoring
“We’ve been in touch with the local CAB with guidance and we’ve contacted the London firm appointed by the Solicitors Regulation Authority to see what we can do to help Stevens’ clients. We’re familiar with the process for releasing files and funds that were being held by Stevens Solicitors and are therefore ready to assist any clients in difficulty.” Said Daryl Griffiths, Practice Manager of Burnett Barker Solicitors.
Burnett Barker Solicitors can be contacted on 01284 701131 for an informal, no obligation discussion.
