Celebrating new appointments
It’s been a busy year to say the least and we’re delighted to welcome yet more legal talent to our Conveyancing, Family Law and Wills & Probate teams.
Family CILEX Lawyer Melanie Stafford, Conveyancing Assistant Pagan Vincent, and Wills & Probate Secretary Frankie Priestley all joined this Summer.
As we welcome new faces, we also say a fond farewell to two others. Family Law Solicitor, Hannah Lester, left for the US with her husband a couple of months back. We, of course, gave her a good send-off with a Tex-Mex style buffet and a glass of bubbly!
New Family CILEX Lawyer
In Hannah’s place, we welcome Family CILEX Lawyer, Melanie Stafford, who has over 14 years’ experience working in family law. She provides specialist legal advice in all aspects of family law, including divorce and separation, financial proceedings and matters relating to children.
New secretary for Wills & Probate
A few weeks ago, we also said goodbye to Wills & Probate Secretary, Brenda King, who has been part of the team since 2007. We’re sure we’ll see her quite a bit though as she pops into town during her retirement.
Taking Brenda’s place is Frankie Priestley, who has already hit the ground running supporting Wills & Probate Solicitor, Henrietta Brett. In fact, having recently graduated from The University of Law, Frankie will be starting her Legal Practice Course (LPC) and Masters of Laws (LLM) Degree course this September as she works towards eventually qualifying as a solicitor herself.
Growth of new build conveyancing team
Also new to the team is Conveyancing Assistant, Pagan Vincent, who has over 15 years’ conveyancing experience at various regional law firms. In a newly created role, Pagan will be supporting Conveyancing Solicitor, Cher Coles, who joined us in April this year.
As several developers building new homes in the area recommend us to their buyers, Cher and Pagan are working alongside Angela Dauny and her assistant Heidi More as we continue to grow this dedicated and specialised area of legal work.
Commenting on the new appointments, Burnett Barker Solicitors’ Chief Executive, Daryl Griffiths, said:
“It’s our people who really make Burnett Barker Solicitors a professional, down-to-earth, friendly firm, and a great place to work. Melanie, Pagan and Frankie have already settled in well, and we couldn’t be more delighted to have them on board.”
