I joined Burnett Barker Solicitors in 2017 as I was nearing the completion of my Graduate Diploma in Law at the University of East Anglia (UEA).
My initial role was as a Residential Property Paralegal, where I soon found that I thoroughly enjoyed the world of residential conveyancing.
With aspirations to progress my legal career, I was keen to qualify as a Licensed Conveyancer. With Burnett Barker Solicitor’s support, I qualified within two and a half years while continuing to work as a paralegal.
When asked why I chose to specialise in conveyancing, the answer is quite simple. I like the fast-paced nature of the work and there’s a strong investigative element to property transactions. I enjoy the challenge of quickly finding a solution to a query to progress a sale or purchase.
Personally, I find it very rewarding to guide clients through the conveyancing process, especially when a purchase means so much to them.
Outside of work, I can be found reading psychological thrillers – I have hundreds of books and I am always looking for recommendations. I also enjoy country walks with my partner and our cocker spaniel, Rolo.
