Residential Conveyancing Solicitor
Buying or selling a home can be stressful. My role is to take away as much of the stress as possible by building a good relationship with everyone involved in a transaction.
How I can help:
Sales and Purchases of Residential Property
Plot Sales and Purchases
Council House Purchases
Council House Purchases
Memberships & Accreditations
Solicitors Regulation Authority
As a solicitor in Burnett Barker’s Residential Conveyancing team, I work closely with Licensed Conveyancer Angela Dauny on new build transactions.
Before joining the Burnett Barker team, I worked for two different firms in Haverhill as a Residential Property Solicitor. Initially, I entered conveyancing as a Paralegal, where I was able to put my Law Degree to good use. However, keen to progress, I completed my training to qualify as a Conveyancing Solicitor in 2017 and have never looked back.
I have always worked in property, in one way or another. I worked for a bulk re-mortgage company for a while. I also progressed house sales on behalf of developers at a new homes group in Colchester. Today, I draw on this experience in understanding the needs of developers and lenders during the conveyancing process.
Although my focus is on the purchase of new properties, we work as a team at Burnett Barker, and so I also act on a wide range of conveyancing matters. As my client, you can expect to receive a high standard of care as I progress the sale or purchase of your home.
When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my family. I have two young boys and so they keep me very busy. When time allows, I hope to get back to horse riding, which is another passion of mine!
In the office I am supported by:
As Conveyancing Assistant, it’s my role to assist Conveyancing Solicitor, Cher Coles, with all the administrative aspects of the legal process. Although I joined Burnett Barker Solicitors in June 2021, I’ve been a Conveyancing Assistant for over 15 years at various regional law firms.
What tempted me away from my previous role in Cambridge were two things. Firstly, Burnett Barker Solicitors is well known for its conveyancing work and very friendly atmosphere. Secondly, I live in Bury and have a young family. So when I mentioned the possibility of working flexibly, Burnett Barker Solicitors was happy to accommodate a working pattern that enables me to still do the job I love and make time for my family.
I like being behind the scenes, helping everything tick along! What I enjoy most about my role is making the conveyancing process run smoothly to help people move home.
Please note, my working hours are 9.30 am until 2.30 pm Monday, Tuesday and Thursday and 9.30 am until 3.30 pm on Wednesday and Friday.
